CRUSHING SECTION – WASTE PAPER CRUSHER
- If your raw materials are whole sheets of waste paper or large cardboard boxes, a forced-feed paper crusher is recommended in crushing process. This machine features a wide feed inlet, allowing it to directly process larger paper materials, making it particularly suitable for continuous batch processing of waste paper.
- For home or small-scale processing, a smaller paper hammer mill is an economical and practical choice. Please note that to ensure optimal shredding results, it is recommended to manually disassemble or cut large cardboard boxes into smaller pieces before shredding.

- Drying is not a must step in paper pellet production. Most waste paper is already quite dry, and even if some raw materials have higher moisture content, they can be mixed with dry waste paper during the pulverizing stage to adjust the overall moisture content to around 15%, making them ready for direct use.
- A paper drying machine is only suitable for large-scale industrial pellet production lines. For family or small farms workshops processing operations, it is generally not recommended to install rotoary dryers to control initial investment and production costs.

Most waste paper itself has a low moisture content (e.g., office paper has a moisture content of about 5-8%), and when mixed with slightly damp raw materials (e.g., cardboard boxes), it naturally reaches the ideal forming moisture content of 10-15%. Like other pellet mills, paper pellet mills require raw materials with a size within 10 mm and a moisture content of around 15%. We can easily prepare suitable waste paper raw materials based on these requirements.
2. What are the calorific value and combustion performance of paper pellets?
The calorific value of dried paper pellets is approximately 16-18 MJ/kg, comparable to pine pellets, fully meeting the needs of home heating and small boilers. Due to the high-pressure forming process, its density can reach 1.1-1.3 g/cm³, resulting in a stable flame and a longer burning time.
If your waste paper contains plastic or other impurities, then these pellets are best sold to power plants or cement plants for use as RDF fuel pellets.
3. How to choose paper pellet machine models based on different production scales?
